Screen goes blank in the middle of install?

Is my VirtualSMC.kext not working?

When trying to boot and install from clover i receive a warning that SMCBatteryManager failed to find batteries or adapters and then the screen goes blank. Any tips where to go from here?

P.S. how can I capture the boot loaders verbose output?
