I built my pc with the intention of running osx (suitable specs, intel cpu, and actually booted osx on a secondary drive but had trouble optimizing it) but mostly just run windows. My macbook's screen broke the other day and I don't want to pay the $600 dollars to fix it. I barely use it anymore, but I do have a ton of projects on it that I never backed up because I'm a dumbass.
I removed the ssd and was wondering if I could just boot it from my pc? I would pick up an adapter but I don't have any other computers running osx anyway. Since the OS is already on the hard-drive and I went through the steps to set up my pc for hackintosh, should it just boot or am I missing something?
Huge thanks to anyone who can help me out.
Edit: SSD is the Apple PCIe 3.0 x4 model from a late-2016 macbook pro. I can post my pc specs if that's important.
