Hey I have an old mid 2010 MacBook Pro that I’m having fun messing with. I replaced the HDD with a 1TB SSD. I’m looking for something weird I could do with the optical drive area that isn’t just adding another SSD. Which got me thinking, would I be able to add an additional cooling fan in that area? Would it even do anything to help cool the machine from that position? Is there anything funky I could try with that space that isn’t just putting in an SSD?
