i need some help capturing the output of A very fast panic. I’m trying to upgrade a PERFECTLY working Sierra build i have to Mojave. I have tried both as boot stick as well as a straight download / upgrade process. What i keep running in to is a situation where the boot process pauses ever so slightly at CodecCommander then prints “Generation from SMC report as 2” ,however because the panic dumps so fast i can’t read the backtrack or Kernel Extension responsible for panic.
Any help / pointers on how to get the panic to dump to a log or text file would be very helpful. I’ve tried looking this up, and unfortunately all the reference i can find are for a panic that happens after the system is booted up. This is happening to me during the initial boot to the installer.
Thanks...
