Hi there, I'm running High Sierra on my Desktop (H97M-E Asus Motherboard, Intel i7-4790 CPU, Nvidia Geforce 970 GPU), yesterday I tried enabling FileVault and I shut the computer down midway (don't ask why...), when I tried to boot the regular boot option disappeared from clover. After some research I figured I needed to boot from the FileVault Prebooter but that just shows a black screen, I tried to boot the FileVault Prebooter with verbose mode on and this is what came up: https://i.redd.it/g58tvb9xl1a21.png But really I have no idea what that means... I tried disabling the web drivers from the config.plist file and booting in safe mode but nothing changed. I also tried booting from an installation USB drive and was able to mount the partition using the password I set for it, after using the command https://i.redd.it/kaeq2h6bn1a21.png Trying to decrypt using https://i.redd.it/2a96yz8gn1a21.png Also using First Aid on the partition didn't do anything as it just said everything was fine... So I don't really know how to move on from here... I don't have a clue as to how to continue the encryption since I can't boot right now (though at this point I'd settle for just aborting it), from searching around the internet it seems like people usually experience problems with their keyboard and mouse drivers after enabling FileVault but I can't seem to get to the login screen at all. Sorry if I'm breaking any rules in this post as this is my first post on reddit (queue blushing emoji), thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
