High Sierra installer fails at "less than a minute remaining"

I'm trying to install Niresh' High Sierra on my computer and it fails at "less than a minute remaining"

MSI A68HM-E22

AMD A4-4000 3.0 GHZ

NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030

4 GB RAM

500 GB HDD 7200rpm

After booting the installer with the flags " npci=x2000" I reformat my HDD as MacOS Extended (Journaled) and go ahead with the install. When the progress bar gets towards the end and it says "less than a minute remaining" the installer hangs for about 20 minutes after which it says the installation could not be completed.
