Software running on macOS can programmatically send/receive iMessages.
I'd like to setup a minimal LAN server running Hackintosh, forwarding iMessages to my other devices. Except for possibly setting this system up, I will not need a GUI.
What is the minimal hardware requirements for what I described above?
NOTE: I've considered buying a cheap, old iPhone and using Remote Messages, but I'm not sure if I trust that software with my texts.
