G'Day r/hackintosh,
So I had a few spare parts from PC upgrades and decided to try and build a hackintosh after being subbed here for a while. After a bit of trouble with crap USB drives that wouldn't boot, I managed to install macOS High Sierra. I know what this sub's opinion on UniBeast and MultiBeast are, but as a first time user I wanted it to be as idiotproof as possible and they seemed to work fine for me, eveything works! I got audio, ethernet, display drivers, and iMessage all with the 'default' kext selections on MultiBeast. My specs are:
-Intel Core i5 7400
- Asrock Fatal1ty B250 Gaming K4 Mobo
-EVGA GTX 750Ti
-500GB WD Blue M.2 SATA SSD
-16GB DDR4 Memory
I did manage to install Mojave first, but after no success in getting the graphics working properly, just installed High Sierra and the NVIDIA web drivers and it all works flawlessly! Though I haven't tried or even got Find my Mac or Airdrop as the Mobo doesn't have Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Just thought I'd share my story of the first time I tried a hackintosh build.
