Sound dropping out after update to 10.14.4. Sound will come back after sleep.

Specs are:

• i7-7700
• ipm17-od2 motherboard from pavilion power 580-068 prebuilt
• Vega 64 strix
• 16gb ddr4
• Installed using the vanilla method in the sidebar

After I updated to 10.14.4, I started having some sound issues.

After first boot, sound will behave normally. But after I put it to sleep and wake it up, it will lose sound completely if I don't play a YT video or music immediately. If I put it to sleep and wake, sound will come back, but it looses sound again if I let it idle.

Hope someone can point me in the right direction.
