I followed the guide in the sidebar to install Mojave on Coffee Lake.
- i7-8700
- Gigabyte Z390 Designare
- Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580
- 32 GB RAM (HyperX @ 3600)
- 500MB Samsung Evo 960 M.2 (not the buggy one)
I just built it yesterday, but I tested Linux on it, and everything works. I used a post on tonymacx86 to set up the BIOS for that same MB. Is there any chance the XMP is a problem?
I manually followed the config.plist closely, but put in my own information; ie, I used iMac18,3 to use the Radeon card for display, and I put in my own script-generated serials.
I had no problem up to the install. I tried it twice. After the first time I noticed that the size of the aborted install was only around 6GB -- the size of the installer. So nothing much happened.
