I wish (or not really) I had more exciting news to report but updating my hackintosh to the latest update went fine. My system specs: Gigabyte Z87x-D3H, i5 4670k, GTX 760. I cloned my hard drive to my back up drive, copied over the EFI folder, updated clover & kext, downloaded the combo update through the website (not the app store), and ran the update. I used the back up drive for a few days to ensure there were no problems before doing the same on my main drive. Sooooo yea. No news is good news. Hope this helps anyone else out there with a similar config!
