Fr... eezing after... slee... p... for a fe... w... seconds?

Hello,

I have this odd issue that just started about a week ago for no reason I can see. When my Hack wakes from sleep, the mouse will freeze for a second, then again about four more times before everything runs as normal.

Any idea what this might be and how I might troubleshoot it?

I am running High Sierra.
