After reading around the internet from the most used hackintosh forums, the 630 appears to be a hanging point for people. Whether it's being used as the primary display device or connector less state. I've looked at content from the last year.
The most common issue stems from the chipset of the board. The Z390 more so than the Z370. All but two CPUs that use 630 should work in macOS. And it's not happening. People who manage to get theirs working post their EFI configuration to assist others. I see responses say yes that helped or no it didn't. There are few dead threads where people were left hanging.
There are multiple methods to make the IGPU work. Devices > Properties, Graphics > Platform ID, Graphics > Inject Intel, using 530 fake IDs and in some cases making no changes at all.
WEG was updated a while back to fix some issues related to the 630. So in theory it should just work. But it hasn't been. I'm curious to see what methods are being used to make it work. There is a lot of inconsistent information and discrepancies.
If you have an 8th or 9th gen CPU, you have a UHD 630.
- What CPU variant do you have?
- What board model are you using?
- What is your pre allocation size?
- Are you using connector less or as your main display?
- Can you screenshot Intel Power Gadget?
- Can you share your EFI so it can be analysed?
This is an effort to consolidate information to make it more useful for others in the future.
