I have had some minor issues with my build which I think is due to the motherboard. So I'm going to get another one.
current equipment:
- MSI z390 gaming plus
- i5-9600k
- 16gb Crucial RAM
- Fenvi T919 wifi/BT
- Sapphire Radeon Pulse RX580 video card
- Samsung 860 EVO 1 gb SSD
Issues:
- vanilla USB installer doesn't boot at all
- tonymac installer boots and starts installing but gets stuck at 15 minutes left. If I keep rebooting and retrying it eventually presses through and I've gotten macOS to install and work
- once working, shutdown and restart hangs.
- doesn't wake from sleep
- everything else seemed to work (I even updated to 10.14.5 after some pain)
The not shutting down gracefully kept bugging me so I kept trying to fix it. Which I just kept ruining my build (lol). I'm wondering if I get a Gigabyte Z390 AORUS PRO in place of the MSI if that would help? I believe the rest of the stuff I have is about as Vanilla I can get.
Thanks,
Mark
