Disable onboard bluetooth

Disable onboard bluetooth

Hi!

I have recently installed Mojave on my laptop but my bluetooth adapter only works partially. I have bought an external bluetooth dongle to replace it but I can't switch to it while my onboard bluetooth is there. It works fine if I remove the onboard BT but as I use it on my Windows install, I would like to keep it.

I have seen several posts where this issue was solved by stopping injecting the port corresponding to the bluetooth using uia_exclude=HSXX.

My problem is I am not able to find my bluetooth in the HS ports using IOregistryexplorer. I however have a "Bluetooth HCI" device in the USB section of the system report and I suppose it is related to it.

I also have a weird bug since this morning, an IOService appears and disappears every second in IOregistryexplorer:

Would someone be able to bring me some answers on what is happening?

Thanks
