CPU: 6700k
GPU: intel integrated 530 HD (I also have an Nvidia that I ignore for OSX, I don't need it for anything but gaming on windows) goes to monitor via HDMI
RAM: 64GB 3000mhz ddr4 (according to system report on OSX)
Motherboard/Laptop model: z170x-gaming 5
Audio Codec: don't know, never got that far with my install to find out if audio even worked. I use an interface for all audio anyway, not sure that matters, but I don't bother with motherboard audio.
Ethernet Card: motherboard. I have two ethernet ports, never got the intel one to work on my El Capitan build, but did get the other to work, which is AtherosE2200Ethernet
Wifi/BT Card: (if available) none
Hard drive: SSD (via sata)
What guide/tool followed: [Links and/or names, links preferably] I have tried the vanilla guide here step by step, I tried a few other guides online that just said if my current hackintosh works I can just upgrade (without even mentioning the new SSD format issues ugh), I tried unibeast, multibeast, multiple clover builds/packages, pretty much any walkthrough I could find. I've tried upgrading with the basic app store file (tiny version), I tried doing a usb drive (which I successfully made, but could never get the install even started), I tried upgrading with the full version file (6gb) while in El Capitan. I've tried upgrading from 10.11.4 and 10.11.6 (or whatever the most recent 10.11 is)
What part I got an issue with: [Describe your issue WITH pictures attached if possible] I can't get into the second part of the install. I get into the first install part, it gets to 17 minutes remaining, then it does the first (?) reboot, then nothing apple related works. I can't get into anything mac related in clover to work, though I did get the recovery drive to boot once. I tried reinstalling from there, but it ended up not letting me go forward from the same position as before.
What files/config I am using:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/t0tcd4ei57fke6n/EFI%20configs.zip?dl=0 (this is a bunch of configs I tried, including my current working one for El Capitan. I tried a lot of variations within each config mind you, so it wasn't JUST these configs)
I've tried with a variety of kexts enabled, disabled, but the main ones I've tried using are: AppleALC, AtherosE2200Ethernet, FakeSMC, IntelMausiEthernet, Lilu, RealtekRTL8111, USBInjectAll, WhateverGreen, FakePCIID, FakePCIID_XHCIMux
I've tried with a variety of drivers, little harder to enable and disable these, but I've tried without a few and with different combinations: ApfsDriverLoader-64.efi, AptioMemoryFix-64.efi, AudioDxe-64.efi, DataHubDxe-64.efi, EmuVariableUefi-64.efi, FSInject-64.efi, HFSPlus.efi, PartitionDxe-64.efi, SMCHelper-64.efi, VBoxHfs-64.efi (not at the same time as HFSPlus),
I've tried using someone else's entire EFI for my same mobo (though I'm not sure it was updated for Mojave, it looks like they were using the 10.5 beta), though they had a Radeon so I did my best to disable any references to that
Extra Info: I honestly just use OSX for professional audio stuff mostly (which is the bulk of my work). Since Logic is no longer being updated for El Capitan, was hoping to move forward, but it's been 4 days (!!!) of troubleshooting and I haven't gotten any closer than the day I started. Sometimes you just got to wave a white flag, but maybe there's something obvious I'm missing, which is why I'm posting here. I've followed all the bios guides to make sure all the settings are right, and I'm currently writing this from my El Capitan build, but maybe there's a big motherboard change. I cannot upgrade my motherboard firmware, because last time I did all my audio software threw a fit for me using a 'new computer' and I had to get permission from several companies to allow my plugins to work. I could in theory deregister all of them, but I'd be worried there's one I'd forget, since I have software from many companies, each with it's own 'quirks'.
I guess what I'm asking for is there anything specific to Mojave I may be missing? Or 10.14.5 specifically? I've googled and followed as many walkthroughs as I could, but I just can't seem to get past this hump. The only thing I've succeeded in doing is making dropbox work worse in my current build.
