The technology offers significant capacity, performance, and latency improvements over 802.11ac.
In previous years we've used an AirPort Extreme for Wi-Fi speed testing; however, since that router is discontinued and doesn't feature Wi-Fi 6 support, we've used the Netgear Nighthawk AX6000 (which is currently on sale for 26% off) for this test. A Mac Pro was wired directly to the router using link aggregation for a max theoretical transfer speed of 2Gbps.
