I was following a guide for installing Catalina on a Thinkpad L440, got my boot USB prepared, got all the kexts and everything in my EFI folder.
Clover boots up just fine on the machine, but for whatever reason I cannot manage to ever get it to boot properly. I know it is some sort of memory/NVram issue.
When I use AptioMemoryFix I get Only 255/256 slides are usable! Then it just sits there.
The other memory fixes (I do not remember their name at the moment something like OSX...etc) lead to their startup messages and then a bunch of plus signs like "++++++++++++++" where again it just hangs there forever.
Using none of the memory fixes leads to nothing but the + signs of doom.
I have tried both VboxHFS.efi and HFSPlus.efi with all fixes, neither made any difference.
I am really not sure what to do from here, is there any other things I should try? Is there a different setup that would work differently?
Thank you so much, I am new to the whole Hackintosh thing and would be happy to get this up and running, I didn't expect to run into issues using the exact same machine as the guide.
