My Black Friday Hackintosh I was planning to build a Hackintosh for a long time. It is very hard for me to afford a Mac for its hefty price tag. I decided to use the discount on Black Friday to build the Hackintosh which is equivalent to ~$2000 iMac. Hardware List I went to Microcenter and Bestbuy for their the Black Friday deals.
Installation Process- Rather than using the Unibeast and Multibeast I took the cleanest approach. I bought all the hardware that are natively supported by the Mac OS Mojave. Working- Sound, Video, Bluetooth, USB, Shutdown, Sleep-Wakeup Creating the the setup disk Obstacle: I tried several USB 3.0 disk but ended up some error I do not recall Advice: buy a USB 2.0 disk. Installing Clover Boot loader Install the default options AND Do not forget to install EmuVariableUefi driver. Fixing Shutdown: Add slide = 0 in boot argument, install EmuVariableUefi, Uncheck FixShutdown Fixing Sound ALC887 works with AppleALC.Kext, Inject 50 in the audio device SMBIOS iMac 18,1 Kext Used
UEFI Drivers ApfsDriverLoader AptioMemoryFix EmuVariableUefi VBoxHfs Drop Table DMAR, MATS Fixes I unchecked everything, including FixShutdowns Patches XHCI to XHC, XHC1 to XHC, SAT0 to SATA, Port Limit Increase Patch Boot Arguments keepsyms=1, dart=0, debug=0x100, slide = 0 Upgraded to Catalina 10.15.3 last week. After that bluetooth is not working. Planning to switch Brcm4360 which is known to work OOB without kext. I added the Geekbench Scores. I have found similar OpenCL in Windows and Hackintosh. Do not know whether it is right or underperformed. Geekbench Single and Multicore Score [link] [comments] |
