It’s a Packard Bell IMedia X1041C that I found in a box and I decided to try and hackintosh it. Against all odds, it seems like this machine was made for hackintoshing! It works perfectly out of the box, except for the Graphics card (I dug up an obscure NVidia driver link that ended up working) and the wifi which isnt even there to begin with (I had to buy a USB radio and find another obscure driver that worked).
Everything works except for shutting down / restarting. Shutting down requires you to force shut down the machine, and restarting works except the machine won’t turn on unless you reset the bios’ settings somehow (unplugging and replugging strangely work.
I’m really happy about this since I’ve been trying to hackintosh a PC since I was 5 or 6.
Booting currently requires me to plug in the install USB and use its bootloader (I’m open to suggestions for bootloaders but beware my machine is not UEFI compatible).
