Updating from 2014... anyone know where I can find the latest OSX version I can upgrade to and maintain compatibility with old Nvidia card?

I'm currently on 10.11 and need to upgrade to at least 10.13 to use some new software.

I've read that with newer systems (Mojave and Catalina) there are problems with some nvidia cards, but I can't find out if this has been resolved. I don't know if this problem is also on 10.13 (High Sierra).

I'm not sure if I upgrade if the hardware acceleration will still work.

GA-X79-UP4 Intel i7-4930k Nvidia GTX 770

There are some old threads where people are trashing the GTX 770, but it works great for me with a 4K monitor.
