I can't find this in the side bar

I have an X1 carbon 6th gen and will be using the extra WWLAN slot 128 gb SSD for MacOSX.
I only want to use this for final cut and other stuff.
I have a realtek realtek 8812au USB card. It has macosx drivers. Will this work for iMessage and Facetime? I don't care about bluetooth or handoff. Just iMessage and Facetime
