Controlling Dual Boot via Arduino/ Rasp pi?

I went through a couple of posts here and other hackintosh forums and right now, it seems that remote dual boot is not possible. I had a weird idea. Would it be possible to control that boot process through an arduino or raspberry pi controller that can pass keyboard input to the system?

I'm not sure how I'd even begin but it's just a thought. What do you guys think?
