Any way to set up my hack to report to a certain wifi network as an ios device?

I want to connect my hackintosh laptop to my uni's wifi network. I noticed that on my iPhone I don't get any sort of authentication error.

This is only a problem when I close my laptop as the wifi will disconnect and therefore revoke the authentication allowing to access the network.

I assume I could use chrome user-agent shenanigans but I'm not sure if MacOS interacts with the log in using safari or not.
