What is the proper procedure to follow for changing smbios on an existing install? Does it require a full wipe/reinstall of macOS? What is one supposed to do for the ROM MAC? I am already using my wired ethernet adapter's: is it going to be OK if that does not change while the rest of the parameters do?
My Coffee Lake build is from a few years ago, originally on High Sierra, and as such it uses iMac 18.3. Given that the hardware actually matches an iMac 19.1 and that Monterey gates some Airplay functionality behind that model ID I'd like to switch. (Yes I know it can be forced even on 18.3 but I like my hackintosh as apple-like as possible - I recently moved from ACPI to plist based usb map for that reason)
Only problem is: right now this is a golden build and I have everything working, including crucially the various iServices and the app store, from which I bought a lot of apps, and I want to be sure I won't mess up the hack's ability to use it or worse my whole Apple ID.
