[OC 0.7.6 - Catalina - I9 10900K - Z490 Vision G - WD black AN 1500 2tb ( my AE cache) - Evo 970 plus 1 tb ( my system) - 128 gb ram - No GPU]
HI I just buy WD black AN 1500 2tb. This peripheral should have 4000 mb/s write speed and 6100mb/s read speed. I didn't found a real good test with hack or macOS with screen shot of diskmark/ amorphous disk / aja or black magic speed test. Someone have wrong speed and said is right but is not ( https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/wd_black-an1500.2262241/)
my tests
I am after effect's user and this disk will be my AE cache. I use it cause It can bring me second speed when my memory is full and After write on disk cache .
This card use 8 pie lane . I try on pci express 16 and 8 its stricly the same. Actually is on the shortest x16 from cpu. ( my windows test seems to say its an macos problem not hardware )
I try many test. The windows test seems very good but not use the same speed test. ( first image on imgur ) . I try to put the system on it and it change the speed. But in deed I never found 4100 mb /S on write and this is a problem for me.
IF anyone here got this pciexpress card and can gimme some screen of his benchmark, it can be help me a lot.
