Having trouble booting OpenCore on old Conroe system

I'm trying to set up 10.4 on an old Conroe system. The problem I am running into is that the USB installer does not boot at all; when I select it in the BIOS's boot menu, it just loads Windows from the SATA SSD instead. I used BootInstall_X64.tool on it, which ran without errors. What should I do from here?

  • Motherboard: Intel DG33FB
  • CPU: Core 2 Duo E6750 (Conroe)
  • GPU: Nvidia GT 710 -- I'm aware this won't work properly, but I'm looking into getting something compatible, perhaps an ATI X1900 XT.
  • RAM: 4GB
  • Audio Codec: Realtek ALC888
  • Ethernet: Intel 82566DC -- I believe this is unsupported in 10.4, but I can probably find some cheapo card to shove in the machine.
