Anyone using E-GPU their Laptops via Thunderbolt?

Looking to install Mac os on one of my laptops with a 9th Gen I9 9980hk CPU.

I am aware that E-GPU aren't plug and play, that does not bother me. But I will like to hear experiences of people using them.
