I'm adding an nvidia gpu to my rig for AI work on linux. I know that there is a simple process in the opencore settings to disable this gpu in mac os. I just want some advice from people that have dabbled in this kind of setup. My ideal scenario is this: I use Windows and Linux with the Nvidia card and mac os on my 6900xt amd card.
Will I run into issues in windows if it is detecting both the amd card and nvidia? should I just uninstall all amd drivers in windows and proceed as normal with only the nvidia ones installed? I feel like that would cause my computer to detect two displays since both cards will have a display output connected to the same computer monitor.
anyone have any advice for making the display input changes seamless? I saw that I can get a display port switch where I would manually choose between both inputs. If I set my computer monitor to do auto switching based on signal then it would detect windows for both cards.
I also saw online that the disabled nvidia card could be running while in mac os and have a ton of fan spin. any way to circumvent that?
If I can't get most of this to be seamless, I may do my proxmox setup again.
