Budget Build

Hi everyone,

I'm new around here and would like to build a budget Hackintosh to run Ventura. I don't need it for anything demanding. No photo or video editing, no gaming. Just day to day browsing and some light apps.

Just wondering what options I have? Are old office PC's enough from Dell, Lenovo etc? Are they compatible? Or should I just look for a certain chipset motherboard? (i'm happy to build it from scratch). Where can I find details on what components are compatible? I would steer towards compatibility rather than performance so would get components for maximum compatibility.
