I recently bought a mid-2011 27" iMac (first time using a mac) for quite a good deal, I have know realised that there is no longer any support for the machine so I looked around and found Open Core Legacy Patcher.
I found out that I need to put in a Metal Supporting GPU to upgrade to 10.14+. I also found out that eGPUs work with Macs and wondered weather I can use a Metal Supporting eGPU rather than opening the whole thing up and flashing the card etc
I am pretty confident in my ability to take things apart but just don't feel like going through all the hassle.
