I just installed Ventura on my PC using the OpenCore Guide. I followed all instructions, built my own EFi and it worked perfectly.
The only problem is networking speeds. I initially installed the normal Realtek Kext and my onboard NIC was looking functional. The speeds I get are just very low, about 1MBit/s download. I can safely say that this is not a router/cable problem. In Windows it works flawlessly.
I tried to just use the my USB ethernet adapter which btw works flawlessly with every Mac I own. It gets recognized but the behavior is the same and the speed is identical. So it’s not exclusively related to my onboard NIC.
Removing the RTL8111.kext doesn't do anything regarding the issue other than removing my onboard NIC to be functional. With it being removed the isolated external USB network adapter still shows the same problem.
Everything in my machine that can be used with OpenCore works perfectly. It’s just this system wide network speed that is super slow. Unfortunately my WiFi card is not supported so I can’t say of wireless would also be affected. It drives me nuts.
Does anyone know what could be wrong here?
