Drive so full can't even delete from Recovery mode

I have a Sonoma 2018 Mac Mini with a Data partition that is so full that it crashes when reaching the desktop, Moreover, when booted into Recovery even the rm command fails with the error no space left on device.

I looked into deleting a neighbor partition to free up some space, but the only candidates are VM, which is only 30 KB, and the local Recovery partition, which is in use.

Looked for snapshots to delete but found none.

Partitions check out OK with First Aid.
