I recently installed macOS Sonoma with OpenCore and I sometimes get these kernel panics. The pc will gradually start to become very unresponsive and it restarts after a couple of minutes. From all the times it happened the error falls into one of the two categories:
- panic(cpu 2 caller 0xffffff801705bfb1): watchdog timeout: no checkins from watchdogd in 187 seconds (2494 totalcheckins since monitoring last enabled), shutdown in progress, vfs shutdown not yet started (full_log)
- panic(cpu 4 caller 0xffffff8006a5c89b): userspace watchdog timeout: no successful checkins from WindowServer (2 induced crashes) in 120 seconds (full_log)
It seems to happen when I do something GPU intensive but I am not too sure. Last time it happened I tried to send a large video with iMessage but I don't know if it's related.
My specs are:
- CPU: i7 8700
- Motherboard: Z370 AORUS Ultra Gaming (rev. 1.0)
- CPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX
