How would I go about hackintosh-ing my laptop? Very new to the scene

I just found out that after years of dreaming about it, my Huawei Matebook D14 2020 Ryzen 5 3500U is finally hackintosh-able, according to this GitHub where he provides an EFI folder to copy over to the install usb (I think...): https://github.com/adhocfra/HuaweiMatebookD14RyzenHackintosh

I'm extremely new to hackintoshing, and don't really know what I should be doing. This EFI folder was only compatible with Monterey so that's the OS I'm aiming at. I tried to prepare an OpenCore Install USB of Monterey and then use OpenCore configurator to mount the EFI partition and copy over the EFI folder this GitHub page provided, but when trying to boot the USB on my laptop nothing happens, black screen, no bootloader or such... Maybe the install usb was prepared wrong?

Anyone who can guide me? Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

(Don't be concerned about me using a pre-made EFI folder or such, just provide any help you can If you've got any)
