Well, Im still having this issue when macOS starts using virtual memory. I remember from attempting to use this laptop with only 4GB of RAM, that apps would crash with a hash mismatch error. I think this might have something to do with the virtual memory being encrypted. It happened today when I had a lot of tabs open on Safari. Safari didn't crash but it wouldn't let me open any other app because they'd just crash.
So, I started thinking and looked around for a solution. It doesn't seem like anyone else had issues like this, that I can find.
I did find this piece of info for disabling virtual memory encryption:
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.virtualMemory UseEncryptedSwap -boolean no This will disable the encryption of your swap files, which can speed up your virtual memory. Then, type the following command: sudo defaults write
I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this. Is this even possible in later version of macOS. Will it let you turn this security feature off?
