| I have Sonoma on a Hackintosh on a Dell OptiPlex 3050 Micro, and it runs perfectly. But I cannot change the resolution to 4K from the display settings. I'm using a monitor that supports 4K@144Hz (which I use with my main desktop; this hackintosh a secondary PC that I am also using with it). The Hackintosh PC only has DisplayPort 1.2 output, meaning it can only support 4K@60Hz and 1440p@120Hz. On other operating systems, the PC outputs at 4K@60Hz by default, which is what I want. But macOS is outputting at 1440p@120Hz and I cannot change the resolution to 4K. I figured I would therefore need to drop the refresh rate to 60Hz to be able to get 4K as a display mode. But I cannot. As shown in the image above, the only option I can select is 120Hz which is already selected. Is there any other method to change the display to 4K@60Hz? It matters to me because my monitor has no upscaling capability, so 1440p output is a blurry mess, and I'd much rather sacrifice a high refresh rate for a crisp and non-blurry image. Intel Core i5-7500T with Intel UHD 630 graphics. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
