Installed sonoma on my mid 2012 air and it’s unusually slow, it’s a 12 year old laptop but what find odd is that it doesn’t get hot and the fans are silent it’s just slow… seems like it’s not using the full potential of the hardware. I had done this exact install on a 2013 air and it was loud but ran quite a lot better. It’s not unusable just a bit sluggish in certain things mainly browsing. I’m willing to bet it’s the 4 gb of ram it has!
