Stuck after CPU upgrade! i5 12400 to i7 12700K

Hi all,

I had my Monterey hackintosh running just fine until I decided to do the CPU upgrade in the title.

The first boot with the new CPU failed.

I then decided to update the MB bios, in hope that would have better CPU support and that would be the reason for the failure, but no success. Im keeping the same BIOS changes that I had when it was working.

I then decided to update the MB bios, in hope that would have better CPU support and that would be the reason for the failure, but no success. I'm keeping the same BIOS changes that I had when it was working.

After that I limited the number of P cores to 6, matching the previous CPU. No success.

I'm now using the debug EFIs from OpenCore, with as much verbosity as I could enable, but am not seeing anything suggestive.

The attached screenshot is the last information visible before the system reboots. I googled for that Unsupported module-level executable opcode, and all I could find was someone suggesting disabling RESIZABLE BAR in bios, but I couldn't find that option.

I did reset nvram one hundred times, each after any bios changes, not a single time it booted properly.

I must also add that I have Linux installed in this machine, and Linux is working just fine.

My full system:

- MB AsRock Z690M ITX/AX running the latest 17.04 bios

- Radeon Sapphire Pulse 6600

- 32GB DDR4 RAM.

- 2TB WD SN 770 NVME

Currently using OpenCore 0.9.7.

BIOS:

  • Advanced -> CPU Configuration -> CFG Lock -> Disabled

  • Advanced -> Chipset Configuration -> C.A.M. (Clever Access Memory) -> Disabled
  • Advanced -> Chipset Configuration -> IGPU Multi Monitor -> Disabled
  • Security -> Secure Boot -> Secure Boot -> Disabled
  • USB XHCI Handoff -> Enabled.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
