Successful Ventura Hackintosh on Lenovo T480

Windows running on my T480

MacOS running on my T480

Successful Ventura 13.6.5 installation on a Lenovo T480. This is my first hackintosh and thankfully it was relatively easy (at least to get macOS installed and running) thanks to the plethora of help online about hackintoshing the T480.

Specs:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-8250U
  • GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 620
  • RAM: 16GB DDR4 2400MHz
  • Storage: 1TB Adata Legend 800 NVME SSD
  • LAN: Intel I219V4 (1Gb ethernet)
  • Wireless: Intel Dual Band Wireless AC-8265
  • Monitor: The original screen/panel that comes with the T480

Working:

  • Battery percentage
  • Bluetooth
  • Boot chime
  • GPU UHD 620 hardware acceleration / performance
  • HDMI
  • iMessage, FaceTime, App Store, iTunes Store (after generating my own SMBIOS+Serial Num.)
  • Ethernet
  • Keyboard (including volume and brightness hotkeys)
  • Microphone
  • Multiboot with Windows on single drive (more info at the bottom)
  • Realtek® ALC3287 ("ALC257") Audio
  • SD card reader
  • Sleep/Wake
  • Thunderbolt (shows up as having no drivers in system report and as an external usb card)
  • TouchPad
  • TrackPoint
  • USB Ports
  • Webcam (cromulent as ever)
  • Wifi
  • Probably some other things I don't have the ability to test

Not working:

  • Fingerprint reader (obviously)
  • Also probably some other things I don't have the ability to test

SMBIOS: MacBookPro 15,2

SSDTs: SSDT-ARPT, SSDT-DMAR and SSDT-Thinkpad-T480

Kexts: AirportItlwm, AMFIPass, AppleALC, BlueToolFixup, BrightnessKeys, CPUFriend, CPUFriendDataProvider, DisableTurboBoost, Display-3024-521, HibernationFixup, IntelBluetoothFirmware, IntelBTPatcher, IntelMausi, IO80211FamilyLegacy, IOSkywalkFamily, Lilu, NoTouchID, NVMeFix, RestrictEvents, RTCMemoryFixup, SMCBatteryManager, SMCLightSensor, SMCProcessor, SMCSuperIO, USBInjectAll, USBMap, VirtualSMC, VoodooI2C, VoodooI2CHID, VoodooPS2Controller, VoodooRMI, VoodooSMBus, WhateverGreen, YogaSMC.

MultiBoot: I was able to successfully multiboot MacOS and Windows 11 by installing Windows 11 first, and then making an NTFS partition that would have the designated space for my MacOS partition. Then I booted into my USB installer and wiped the NTFS partition I just made and installed macOS onto it. There are a few more steps you have to do after that so I would recommend watching this youtube video about how to do it. By default my laptop boots into Windows since I have Windows Boot Manager at the top of my boot order and when I want to boot into MacOS I just select to boot from my drive instead.
