| A few days ago I posted about how to set up a macOS VM to practice cybersecurity stuff. Learned real quick what rule #8 was. I’ll be honest, I had no idea what a hackintosh ACTUALLY was. I thought it was just overcoming the boot loops and quirks of Apple and VMs. So I kept reading - yo, I’ve always wanted a Mac but couldn’t justify the price… and I have a wholly capable workstation… Anyways, here I am with my very first hackintosh. What a super cool project, and I learned so much about how OS’ work and their interaction with the underlying hardware. LOTS of fun. Here’s to a first-timers success! [link] [comments] |
