[Troubleshooting] Can’t get past black screen after logging in. Tried all the support articles I could find.

Hi everyone. I’m on mobile so please forgive any formatting errors.

I have an issue with my Mac/OCLP that I’ve been trying to solve for a few days now. I had started the patch/root process for a new update as I always do and left my computer to sit and work its magic. As unimportant as this seems, while I left my computer unattended for those few moments to do other things, someone closed my computer and unplugged it mid patch. This is the only thing that has been done different from previous patches.

I had assumed the update when through. Now however, when I select the drive, as I always do, it takes me to the standard login screen. I log in, the bar loads, and then goes to a black screen. It just sits there. I’ve left it for hours to see if maybe it kicks in and I’ve Googled all I can think of that may be related to this issue.

I’ve tried to boot into a safe mode that OCLP mentions but it gets halfway through the load bar, and just stays there. Left it for like an hour, just stayed there. So I assume that isn’t working? I’ve tried to go through support methods mentioned in articles and support documents but files or options or key presses that should work appear to not or be missing.

I can’t really do much on the Mac, I can take a few photos on the ol’ phone if that helps, but I’m assuming a full reinstall/reformat of the computer is needed unless I can find a way to crest a new USB install of OCLP maybe? Anyway, thought I would check here before I start trying methods that may result in me losing my files.
