Hi, finally getting ready to install dual windows/Mac.
Video documenting every single step of the entire build, and going quite slowly. Putting final touches on case, so over next few days will get to the install.
Currently figuring out wifi requirements, and seems straightforward, with Asus z790 creator having ax210 wifi already, and that chip set known as hack supported.
I was reading here about airportitlwm vs itlwm
https://openintelwireless.github.io/itlwm/FAQ.html
Noticed it says performance sucks, and goes on
" the expected maximum speed is 950 Mbps for download and 650 Mbps for upload"
Is that really sucky performance?
Then here
https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/rio26v/airportitlwm_vs_itlwm_heliport/
I see mention of expecting 100 Mbps/40 Mbps download/upload.
I understand the IEEE 802.11ax (wifi 6) that my motherboard supports can go up to absolute theoretical max of 9.6 gbps, I won't lose sleep not coming even close to that max, just trying to understand current hackintosh limitations on wifi.
Here
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/how-to-wi-fi-6-intel-ax210-on-macos-sonoma.327834/
I don't see any complaints about performance.
Anyway, I will just get it running with one of these itwlm kexts, just curious what others are finding regarding performance, if there are known additional steps to gain performance.
Thanks as always!
