Upgraded my father’s Late 2015 27” 5K iMac (iMac17,1) to Sonoma 14.7.1 via OCLP 2.1.2 yesterday. Everything worked exactly per the instructions. I disabled power management “autopoweroff”, “standby” (not sleep), and “proximitywake” features via pmset as a proactive measure, since I’ve read about possible sleep/wake issues.
Initially, everything was great, Sonoma even ran faster than Monterey. However, he contacted my this morning saying it was "dead"; it won't turn on at all. It’s the fully loaded model, 4.0 GHz Quad-Core Core i7, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, and Radeon R9 M395X. Any ideas? I've asked him to unplug it for a few minutes and plug back in, in case the SMC is an issue, but has anyone else experienced something like this?
