2014 MBA 13" - Stay on Sequoia or downgrade to Ventura?

So as you may know, I have a 2014 MacBook Air 13" which is now running the latest version of MacOS Sequoia (15.3.1).

Before i upgraded it to Sequoia, the Mac originally ran Big Sur, then upgraded to Ventura via an older version of OCLP (2.0.0) before it was upgraded to Sequoia using the latest OCLP 2.2.0.

Fast forward to now with Sequoia and the latest updates I realize that:

  • My Mac's boot time is over 1 minute although it never exceeded 2 minutes.
  • Apps also took a bit longer to startup as compared to when it was with Ventura.
  • Random app crashes. Even when I try to open the Tips it instantly crashed with an error message just like the one in the screenshot above. Not to mention GPU/CPU intensive apps like Photoshop, Illustrator or FCP (those apps are pushing the Mac to its' limits by the way)
  • My external SSD tends to automatically disconnect itself from the system after my Mac wakes up from hibernation or sleep.

With the problems above, should I just stay on Sequoia or downgrade to Ventura?
