Hi, so, I got two MBP, one of which I will sell and one of which I will keep.
I installed Sequoia on both of them. First on 15" MBP mid 2014, 16gb, 500gb, Intel Iris + NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M. It runs great so far, even with final cut pro.
Then I installed it on 15" MBP mid 2015, 16gb, 500gb, Intel Iris + AMD Radeon R9 M370X*.* Every time I start it up, the fans turn up to the maximum for about a whole minute without me being able to see any particular CPU load in the activity display. Since its almost the same like the 2014 model I thought the reason might be the AMD Radeon, but it shows that the Intel card is active and not the AMD. That gives me a bit of cause for concern. After that, everything seems to return to normal, but they still tend to spin up again more quickly than on the 2014 model. I haven't tried many programs yet and will test it more today. I would actually prefer to keep the 2015 model because the graphics card is a little bit better. But the 2014 still seems to run smoother for me. The only thing I notice about the 2015 is that the battery is already very low.
Has anyone had similar experiences? What could be the reason for this?
