I have my mid-2010 polycarbonate MacBook running macOS 12 Monterey right now, and I'm not sure if I should update it to Sequoia. I really just want to see how the experience is, as I have a backup of the Catalina partition that used to be on this, and can revert to Catalina at any time.
HOWEVER, when I go to download the installer, I get a message about USB 1.1 compliance. Apparently Apple removed USB 1.1 drivers starting in Ventura, and I'd like to be able to use it. Does this USB 1.1 noncompliance affect the internal keyboard and trackpad? Is there a way to patch USB 1.1 support back into the system? Or am I stuck on macOS 12?
edit; before someone says something about "it's gonna run slow", the MacBook has been upgraded with extra ram and a solid state drive.
