Is it safe to do software updates on oclp

I'm sure this question gets ask a lot but please bare with me. I just finally got oclp on my MacBook and now it's running macos Sequoia. The thing is now my MacBook what's to update to Sequoia 15.3.1 and I want to know if it's safe to do and then add the root patches through oclp or should I just wait a bit. I don't mind waiting I don't do a whole lot on the MacBook just on it more right now due to me being on med leave for another month. TIA
