Is OCLP compatible with a fusion drive?

I tried installing OCLP on my late-2015 iMac 27" with a 1TB fusion drive and things went completely south when it came time for the first reboot in the install process. It just stuck there and after a couple of hours I figured it wasn't ever going to complete so I exited. After that I couldn't go forwards to complete the install or back to Monterey without getting help from the Apple Store to reinstall Monterey and restoring my Time Machine backup (which was a who different pain but I will skip that). I was told that my Fusion drive had somehow split into two drives, whether prior to the install or during it I don't know but the tech needed to fuse it back into one drive so Monterey could be reinstalled.

I am wondering if it's worth it to try again or should I just admit defeat and find a Mac, either used or new, that supports Sequoia? It took over a week to get everything back up and running the last time so I'm worried that it could all go bad again.
