I've recently learned about the ability to force update my MacBook Air with OpenCore Legacy Patcher. I've been trying for the past couple of days for work reasons (Configurator won't download on my Monterrey 12.7.6) and I've had trouble with it. The process is super easy but when it comes to installing the new OS I cannot get it to go through.
Consistently every time regardless of version, if I can get to the install screen from USB for Sonoma/Sequoia, I can get it to download the OS but when it boots to the Apple screen with a progress bar, it freezes at like 3% every time in the same place. I've done all the typical "Allow Full Disk Access" for both Opencore and Terminal, as well as erasing the SSD for a fully clean install. Regardless of what I do, I get stuck in the same place. I'm not sure if it's the versions I'm choosing, but I cannot get it to fully update and it stays getting stuck in the same place. I've had to fully erase and recover back to Monterrey twice now but I really want to get this to work because it seems so easy and I'd like to save $1300 on a new MacBook. I don't know if it's something specific with this model or there's a key step that I'm missing, but I don't think it's an issue with my choice of USB. Has anyone encountered this issue and if so, what could be done to fix it?
For reference, [this video is the one I've been following to a T.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=in5-3EjKFqA).
